Temple of Boom

Temple of Boom is a fast pixel-art action platformer that drops you into an ancient temple packed with enemies. You run, jump and shoot your way through each area, grabbing new weapons and coins as you go. It has the feel of a classic retro arcade game, with quick action and plenty of explosions.

The gameplay is simple and punchy. You move left and right, jump over gaps and enemies, and even double jump to reach higher spots or escape trouble. Weapons appear around the temple, and you can pick them up to change how you fight. Then it is all about shooting your enemies before they get you, and switching weapons when a different one suits the moment better. Every coin you collect brings you closer to unlocking new heroes.

There is a good amount of variety packed in. You can unlock new characters, such as Cactus Kid, who carries a machine gun, and Tamago, who comes with a shotgun. The game also offers several ways to play:

Here are a few tips for staying alive in the temple. Keep moving, because standing still makes you an easy target. Use the double jump not just to reach ledges but also to dodge incoming enemies. Try out every weapon you find, since each one is better in certain situations, and switch to the one that fits the enemies in front of you. Collect coins whenever you can do it safely, as they let you unlock new heroes with stronger starting weapons. In Two Players mode, spread out a bit so you can cover more of the screen together.
